Life has taken me from suburbia in Melbourne to living on lighthouses as a child and attending a boarding school in Sale, back to suburbia in Melbourne and high school, to Law school. I married a Singapore national from a Chinese family and meeting my husband was the beginning of happy family life, understanding a different culture and travel throughout the world.
I practiced as a lawyer in a variety of capacities, including having my own practice and working in a management position. But the greatest call on my life began during prayer as a six year old. It has been a journey that’s brought me to the Church where I’m a minister.
Throughout my journey, on pilgrimages such as the Camino and to the mountains of Morocco and Nepal, my joy in writing and for photography has sustained me and allowed me to share my journey and the beauty I’ve encountered with others. There are thin places, places where the boundaries between heaven and earth seem to not exist, places like Iona, Scotland, the Sahara desert in Morocco and at home within Australia.
There is also a deeper place within us, that’s found in silence, meditation and contemplation, a place where we find our true self, our soul, the beloved.
I invite you to join me on a journey that may take you to many places. May you discover your own journey, make your own pilgrimages and begin the inner journey within yourself.
